One of the biggest design influences for Spring/Summer this year was military. Designers as diverse as Balmain, Celine, and Jean Paul Gaultier sent models down the runway in their version of military style. From the literal interpretations of army jackets and boots, to the subtle details on a short tight dress, the inspiration was hard to miss. This style was soon picked up by magazines such as Vogue and countless editorials featuring models in faded green and khaki in settings as diverse as city streets and sandy beaches have been seen everywhere. Military is definitely a trend that can work for everyone and allows itself to be interpreted in a number of different ways, so have fun with it!

We recently received a lot of military-inspired clothes and chose a few key pieces that can be worn a number of different ways. Not sure where to start? The green Tulle vest is a perfect piece that can be worn with almost anything!

We just got in a bunch of new pieces from one of our favorite designers - Alkemie. We love this line by designers Dara Gerson and Ashley Lowengrub because the designs are inspired by the natural elements and have a really organic and unique look; plus, they are all made from recycled metals!

We're all for designer denim, but these new cropped jeans and cuffed shorts from Divine Rights of Denim might change your mind about spending upwards of $150 for a pair of jeans. Both are made from soft, lightweight denim that is extremely comfortable and easy to wear. We love finding great quality pieces at good prices!

Hots Rods + Summer Dresses

So, the Hot Rod festival was on South Congress all weekend and we decided to take advantage and stage an impromptu photoshoot in some of the new dresses we just got in! It was a ton of fun walking up and down the street and taking pics next to (and sometimes inside) the cars... we met some pretty fun people. Here's some of our favorites from the shoot...

New Jewelry!

We haven't just been getting in dresses, we also just received a bunch of new jewelry by Extasia. We love this company based in LA; all their cameos and intaglios are made in Italy and Bavaria using the original molds and techniques of the 1800s. It's vintage-inspired, but has the quality of new jewelry.
